Foster Carer Represents Fostering Community at House of Lords

We are incredibly proud to celebrate our foster carer, Jenny, who recently represented the fostering community at the House of Lords following the publication of new research by Coram into foster carer recruitment.

The event brought together around 150 members of the fostering community and took place shortly after the launch of the Government’s National Recruitment Drive. Discussions focused on the urgent need to recruit more foster carers across the country and highlighted the life-changing impact foster carers make for children and young people every day.

At a time when more foster carers are needed than ever, it is vital that the voices of those with lived experience are heard. Jenny’s contribution helped shine a spotlight on the importance of supporting and growing the fostering community for the benefit of children across the UK.

We would like to thank Jenny for being such a dedicated advocate for fostering and for representing foster carers so positively on a national stage. Her commitment, passion, and willingness to share her experiences continue to inspire others and help raise awareness of this important cause.

Well done, Jenny. We are incredibly proud of you and grateful for everything you do for children and young people in care.
