Credo Care Featured in National Webinar on Palliative Care and Fostering

As part of Foster Care Fortnight, Credo Care Fostering is proud to share a powerful and moving webinar delivered in partnership with Together for Short Lives, focusing on looked after children and palliative care.

The session features Richard, Credo Care’s Managing Director, alongside Sue, one of our truly inspirational foster carers, who together offer a deeply personal insight into what it means to support children with complex and life-limiting conditions within a foster family setting.

The webinar highlights the unique and often misunderstood role of foster carers providing palliative care. Through honest reflection and real-life experience, Richard and Sue explore both the challenges and the profound rewards of this specialist form of fostering. Their contribution showcases how, even in the most difficult circumstances, children can experience the warmth, stability and joy of family life.

Following the webinar, Together for Short Lives shared extremely positive feedback about Credo Care’s involvement. Viewers were particularly moved by Sue’s fostering journey.

This webinar forms part of our wider recognition of Foster Care Fortnight, a national campaign celebrating the vital role of foster carers across the UK. It also helps raise awareness of the growing need for carers who can support children with complex health needs, ensuring they receive not only specialist care but also the love and belonging every child deserves.

At Credo Care Fostering, we are incredibly proud of Richard and Sue for sharing their experiences and representing the life-changing work of our fostering community.
